Volunteer at the BIG Little Science Centre (BLSC)

We are always looking for volunteers at the BIG Little Science Centre. If you have a couple of hours to donate please give us a call (250) 554 BLSC (2572) or drop in at the Centre – 985 Holt Street, Kamloops. The Science Centre is in the North end of the building, formerly George Hilliard School (between Tranquille Road and Parkcrest Avenue).

Our volunteer opportunities are wide ranging and varied, some examples are:

welcoming guests and collecting admission fees from visitors during drop-in times: – Thursdays and Fridays 2:30 to 4:30 PM and/or on Saturdays 12 noon to 3:00 PM
showing guests through the hands-on rooms
clean-up equipment after class visits and labs – school days
conducting science shows – for those who like a leadership role
designing science shows – for those who like to be challenged
designing and building new displays – for those who are creative
marketing and business planning
acting as a director in the BIG Little Science Centre Society
