How to donate:
(Tax receipts issued for donations above $20.00)
- Visit the BIG Little Science Centre (we accept Cash, Cheque, Debit or Credit). Directions
- Call the Centre directly with your credit card information 250 554 2572.
- The BIG Little Science Centre also accepts gifts of Publicly Traded Securities. Contact Gord Stewart for details.
- Mail a cheque to the BIG Little Science Centre, Box 882 Station Main, Kamloops, BC, V2C 5M8.
- Donate to the Gordon R Gore Legacy Fund here.
Methods 1, 2 or 3 above can also be used to donate to the GRG Legacy Fund. - Use the Donate Now button (above right) to donate to us through Canada helps.org.
The BIG Little Science Centre Society is a registered Charity under the income tax act. Tax receipts will be issued for donations to the BIG Little Science Centre. For more on registered charities go to the Government of Canada site Giving to charity: Information for donors.
The BIG Little Science Centre’s plan for the future is to continue to offer low-cost science opportunities that will excite and inspire people of all ages. The BIG Little Science Centre offers enhanced programming and exhibits in the areas of physics, chemistry, biology, and geology, while maintaining its current ‘hands-on’ format as well as dynamic demonstrations of specialized equipment. There is something to learn and enjoy for everyone from children and teens to adults, including seniors.
The BIG Little Science Centre's annual operating budget comes entirely from donations, grants, and some sales. The BIG Little Science Centre needs your support. The Centre relies heavily on volunteers to operate, but funds are needed to maintain and continue to operate the Centre. The BIG Little Science Centre currently has one full-time and three part-time employees.
Support the BIG Little Science Centre
We invite you to become a partner in the BIG Little Science Centre by participating with our Fundraising Program. Participation can include an in-kind donation , a cash donation , or a more in-depth option such as sponsoring a room, or sponsoring a display or show in your area of choice. You are also welcome to donate your time as a volunteer.
Your Choices of Participation
Cash Donations: The BIG Little Science Centre accepts cash donations of any amount. Income tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20.00 or more (receipts will be issued for smaller amounts on request).
With your donation you get the following:- public recognition on website, newsletters and other BLSC publications.
- recognition on our Wall of Honour (including logo with $1,000+ donation).
Room Sponsorship Packages:
The BIG Little Science Centre currently has two classrooms available for room sponsorship. The classroom sponsorships are minimum three year term at a rate of $6,000 per year.
We also have the main Gordon R Gore Exploration Room available for Sponsorship. Please contact us for further details.

- space in the BIG Little Science Centre for a display promoting your organization or business.
- recognition on our Wall of Honour, with logo.
- public recognition on site, website, newsletters and related public relations exposure.
Area of choice: Fund a specific display such as an item related to your company, your organization, or your personal area of interest. Or fund a specific BIG Little Science Centre activity such as the Open houses, contests, camps, shows, etc.
With your donation you will receive:- public recognition on website, newsletters and other BLSC publications.
- recognition on related physical items if appropriate.
- recognition on our Wall of Honour (including logo with min. $1,000+ sponsorship).
In-kind Donation: Donate an item the BIG Little Science Centre needs in return for a tax receipt.
With your in-kind donation your will receive:- recognition on our Wall of Honour (including logo with a $1,000+ In-Kind Donation).
- public recognition on website, newsletters and other BLSC publications.
- recognition on related physical items if appropriate.
- Terms: Variable depending on item.
Recognition and Accountability
All funding partners to the BIG Little Science Centre are recognized in our publications, including a monthly newsletter, our website, our flyers, and any advertising or promotion we conduct for special events. Donors will also get their name listed on our ‘donors wall’ at the Centre. Your logo will be included on the "Wall of Honour" with a minimum $1,000 donation. For donations of $5,000 the donor can choose to receive an annual report outlining where their funding support was applied and what was accomplished with it. All donors are welcome to visit the BIG Little Science Centre at any time. We recommend visiting when a group is at the Centre to be able to observe the BIG Little Science Centre 'in action'.
Recognition Levels: More to be announced. Any donation at the $1,000 level or above receives a Logo space on the Wall of Honour. All other donations will receive name recognition on the Wall.
